No Disrespect - Entry 5

Comments:

  1. Sister souljah finally thought she could settle down with a man, Joseph. Until she found out Joseph had a wife.
  2. She continued to date Joseph without his wife knowing.
  3. Mona was a mysterious woman in Sister Souljah's eyes. Sister souljah was amazed by her and wanted to get to know her better.
  4. Sister Souljah began considering Mona as a lover.
  5. She was a lonely woman, and still did not consider Derek

Questions:
  1. Why didn't Joseph tell her her had a wife, what was the point?
  2. Sister Souljah was considered "homophobic," what suddenly made her change her mind?
  3. Was she secretly attracted to other females as well?
  4. Why is she so difficult? She is never satisfied with a man, i guess its not that much of a bad thing.

Summary:
This section was very shocking, she begins to have feelings for a female.

No Disrespect - Entry 4

Comments:

  1. Nikki was very strange and basically the complete opposite from sister souljah. She was very active when it came to meeting and hanging around men.
  2. After having several talks with Nikki, Sister souljah decided to change things around and get more involved with guys, specifically, Kyle.
  3. Kyle had a seizure that he was not aware of.
  4. Nikki was raped once in her basement by one of her fathers friends befpre when she was twelve years old, which might be the reason why she has sex all the time.
  5. Sex was common in Nikki's family. Her mother, father, brother and sister were all very active.

Questions:

  1. If sister souljah found it such a problem to live with Nikki why wouldn't she just leave?
  2. How did he have a seizure without having a clue?
  3. Why didn't Nikki ever tell her parents that she was raped?
  4. Is Nikki bisexual?

Summary:
  • These couple of sections open up with the relationship that sister souljah had with Kyle and Nikki. After she had been around Kyle for a while she learns that they wont ever have a relationship that is considered more than friends. Also she learns the reasons why Nikki acted the way she did.

No Disrespect - Entry 3

Comments:

  1. There is a new man in the family, a white man. Sister souljah is disgusted by this, especially since it caught her by surprise.
  2. She believes her mom is just using this man.
  3. She believes that it is her fault for the fact that her 13 year old sister is pregnant. Her sister does not want an abortion meanwhile, her mother refuses to take care of the child.
  4. Nathan is very talented and Sister Souljah is trying to help him find a future for himself in business. But times get hard and she struggles to.
  5. Nikki was rather rich, her family seemed to have money which sister souljah found stranger for a little while.

  • Why would she think her mother is using a white man?
  • Her sister is thirteen years old, does she really have a choice to get an abortion or not?
  • Why hasnt nathan realized his potentials?
  • What does Nikki's parents do?

  • This section gets deeper into Nathan and how he affected sister souljah through her journey. It soon opBulleted Listens up with her new associate, Nikki.

No Disrespect- Entry 2

Comments:


  1. Her mother and her finally begin to associate with people of their neighborhood, specifically the big man in the community, Tyrone.
  2. At first he seems a little frightening to the kids but as time progresses they get use to him.
  3. He teaches the children not to be scared of the men in the "green coats".
  4. 'Mommy' gets pregnant by Tyrone, but he leaves her and pays no mind to her.
  5. He come back and fourth and causes chaos to the family. People of the community are shocked, in disbelief because Tyrone is now very involved with the family
  6. She is finally on her way to college.

Questions:

  1. How did 'mommy' get so very involved with Tyrone, if she knew he was no good.
  2. Was she forced to be with him?
  3. Now that she is pregnant and alot of issues are evolving, why wont she just move out of the neighborhood?
  4. Is it fair to say that Tyrone never loved the family? Or is he just afraid of commitment?

Summary:

  • This chapter is the beginning of problems that she and her family had to face, they were effected largely by the society.
