Comments:

• Montag begins his jouney in hopes on not getting caught.
• He disguises himself so he wont get caught by the Hound; he changes his clothes and makes sure he smells like alcohol instead.
• Everyone believes that Montag was actually caught.
• Montag is offered a type of potion that will change his chemical composition.
• A random bomb is dropped on the town, which will completely destroy the town.

Questions:

• How did they make it seem like Montag was caught? Did the guy look like him in any way?
• Since the whole town will be destroyed does that mean the people too, including Montag?
• Where did this bomb come from?
• Since the bomb dropped does this end the whole story, as in no sequel to this novel?

Summary:
This novel is way better than i thought, i did not except it to be so dramatic but it was, and i really enjoyed it. Montag had alot of audacity throughout the novel and in the end it was all worth it.

Fahrenheit 451 # 9

Comments:

• Montag excapes with a book that no one found.
• He begins to reminse on him hurting Beatty and how he did not defend himself as if he wanted to die.
• Montag brings the books over to Mrs. Browns and burries it in her kitchen in revenge for her snitching on him.
• Montag is scared for his life; him and Farber are planning their escape.
• He is shown on television; there is a new Hound in search of him.

Questions:

• Does Montag understand that revenge only makes things worse?
• Why is Farber so calm?
• If the firefighters can have books why can't Montag?
• How is the hound going to actually mind Montag?

• seance(pg163)-a meeting in which a spiritualist attempts to communicate with the spirits of the dead

These couple of pages show that Montag is escaping with Farber and he decides to get revenge with Mrs. Brown

Comments:

• While they are at work, they are called for duty, and the house they are going to put flames out is, Montag's own home.
• He is terrified by this because of the books he has hidden.
• Now it seems to make more sense as to why the Machine was trying to attack Montag so very often.
• Montag's wife and a neighbor reported him for taking all the books.
• Montag figured the only way to escape from his troubles is to kill Beatty, and so he did, burning him to death.

• Why did his wife reveal his secret?
• How did his house catch on fire?
• How did Beatty figure that Montag actually did take the books?
• Where did his wife disappear to now?

Comments:

• Montag makes it to farbers house and Montag tells Farber about his feelings
• Farber does not believe teaching Montag about books is such a good idea.
• They decide to repopulate the world.
• Farber believes that people learn in their sleep, so he reads to Montag while he is sleeping.
• Montag shows his books to his neighbors.

• Where do people think Montag is located?
• What makes Montag think that people really are going to care about what he has to say about books?
• Why were books such a big deal to him?
• Was they not able to get in hold of books?

Summary:

I find it hard to believe that you learn more when you are read to in your sleep, but that is what farber believes books can do to you.

Fahrenheit 451 #6

Comments:

• Montag stoled about 20 books, and is really into reading books for some reason now.
• Montag and Mildred begin to read the books quietly in hopes of no one catching them.
• He remininses on meeting a man named Faber.
• Montage decides to make copies of this book and return it back to beatty.
• On his way to go see Faber Montag begins to think about his significance with the bible. He is unable to think staaight since the train was too loud.

Questions:

• I dont get it, i thought Mildred died?
• Whe is Mildred's temper so dangerous?
• Why is he stealing books? is it an addiction?
• Does Faber even car eto help out Montag?

Summary:
These couple of pages leave me confused as to how Mildred is possibly alive. These pages also open to how obsessed Montag is about books now.

Fahrenheit 451 #5

Comments:

• Clarisse is usually talking to Montage about everything, but one random day Clarisse is no where to be found.
• The firefighters have a mission to save a woman who refuses to turn in her books, for some reason Montage takes a book with him.
• This strange lady decided to kill herself and the chance of killing others all because she refused to leave her home, over books.
• Montag speaks to his wife and she tells him that Clarisse was ran over and killed by a car.
• Beatty's genuis way of thinking believes that books soon will die down and people will barely read because of technology that will be created.

Questions:

• What made Montag take the book in the first place?
• Does the lady have a mental issue, counting the fact she killed herself over a book?
• Clarissa's death seemed so sudden, is there a meaning behind this?
• Why didnt his wife respond to him when he mentioned quitting his job?

Comments:

• Montag's wife is at the risk of dying, the emergancy tries to save her life the best thay can.
• His wife dies of overdosing.
• The Mechanical hound is used to catch and destroy criminals.
• Whenever Montag gets close to the machine it begins to react as if it is attempting to catch him.
• Captain Beatty wonders if Montag is actually up to no good.

• Why did his wife overdose, what was the purpose?
• How did they come about this machine?
• How was it created, expecially at a time like this?
